Sam Mosser

Chief Operating Officer, Senior Advisor | Project Wall Street

An accomplished name in the financial services industry, Sam Mosser has utilized his expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and asset management across various organizations. He’s most currently active as a private consultant and as the chief operating officer and senior advisor at Project Wall Street, a volunteer role he began in 2024 and continues to hold. In this capacity, he helps people from low socioeconomic backgrounds break into Wall Street; he manages a fellowship program that pairs applicants with mentors currently working in the finance industry and aims to provide resources and support for career development in finance.

Upon graduating from high school, Mr. Mosser enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 2008 to 2012 as a corporal and non-commissioned officer in the Charge Supply Division. During his time there, he was awarded a Naval Achievement Medal for his role in managing a budgeting office for aircraft on the East Coast and became interested in financial markets. Consequently, he immersed himself in literature about the stock market and enrolled in online courses, including Wall Street Prep, and began investing in the stock market. He ultimately earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State in 2014, leading to a successful career at Goldman Sachs, where he advanced from a financial analyst to an associate and investment manager. He managed approximately $6 billion in assets there, focusing on fundraising and portfolio management.

In addition, Mr. Mosser has wielded his experience as a senior consultant at Deloitte, a manager at MorganFranklin Consulting, specializing in financial services and private equity, and a merger and acquisition director at IMS Legal Strategies. Having just bolstered his credentials by attaining an MBA from the Wharton School in 2024, he sees himself in senior leadership roles in the future, potentially on several boards, and responsibly supporting the growth of companies—making money while also benefitting employees. He also aims to make a difference by helping veterans transition from military life to the corporate world; he’s already created a veterans group to support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
